Last Monday faithpill for 2013- An Attitude of Gratitude.

Hello dear, thanks for dropping by!!!

I am really excited about this day- the 30th of December, 2013…I could remember vividly my very first blog post sometime in May(WHEN TO START CELEBRATING). Seeing your views & comments really inspired me to keep posting.

You know, you really rock & I am so grateful to God that our paths crossed & He has in one way or the other helped me to be a blessing to you(which is the whole reason behind starting the blogsite).

Once again, thank you.xo

Hmm…today has been a very great day, actually it started yesterday when my pastor(Ayo Ajani of Petra christian Centre) declared a 3-day dry fast. You can imagine how slim I am now.*wink*
But really, that’s just on the lighter note. I believe one of the first things I learnt during this period is that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE.

Sincerely, I have never done a 3-day fast& I didn’t know how this was going to end up. Actually, my pastor said we might likely go to heaven(due to severe hunger) but we will surely come back & finish the fast. Anyway, this is the second day & funny enough I haven’t even dreamt of heaven…I am perfectly alright(maybe a little hungry though…wink*).

I believe that one of the major things we all need inorder to do/accomplish anything in life is to have a strong desire for that thing …knowing full well, that we can do all things through Christ who strengthen us.

Okay!!! That was just about my fasting&prayer experience. Now back to today’s article.

I believe that gratitude(heart-felt thankgiving) is the deepest form of worship and the strongest expression of faith in God. It’s funny how we(I inclusive) easily forget about God’s goodness & faithfulness in our lives(especially we are going through trying times). At such point, all we focus on is what He hasn’t/isn’t doing while we forget the things He has/is still doing for us(even ones we didn’t particularly ask for) & begin to complain.

You know, when you really come to think of your life, you are a bundle of testimonies. If you doubt that, consider the fact that you still have your two eyes(if not, you wouldn’t be able to read this post),  your hands haven’t packed up(and that’s why you can scroll down this page) and your brain is still intact(I have seen quite alot of insane people this year).

It’s easy to thank God when things are seemingly going on well but our thanksgiving isn’t suppose to cease in times of trial. Actually God desires that we are grateful at all times & in all things.

” In everything give thanks; for  this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for  you.”  1 Thess5:18NKJV

Thanksgiving is meant to be an attitude and not an option. It is God’s will.

Jesus knew the power of gratitude such that when faced with  naturally impossible cases- the feeding of 5000 (with 5 loaves of bread&2 fishes) and the death of Lazarus, all He did was to thank God and God showed up.

My dear, 2014 is going to be a great year(that’s because I visited there lately.wink*) and the people who will enjoy all that God has in store would be men& women who would serve Him with grateful hearts.

Develop an attitude of gratitude in this coming year & God will always show up on your behalf to wrought a miracle.

Stop looking at what you don’t have yet and start thanking Him for His many benefits in your life…and as you do, everything you need will flow towards you.

I am really glad & grateful to have met you(though not physically)- you are the greatest gift God has brought my path this wonderful year.

I love you deeply & you are always on my mind. It’s been a honour serving you via this blog site. Bless your darling heart.

The reason for His birth

img ref: all-free-download.com

Jesus Christ was the only man on earth whose purpose for living was dying (the death on the cross). His first appearance in the New Testament gives us a summary of his life’s purpose and calling.

“And she will have a Son, and you shall name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins”                              –  Matthew 1:21

And since it is impossible for God (being a spirit) to die, He had to send Jesus Christ in the form of human flesh to die for us.

“Since we, God’s Children, are human beings – made of flesh and blood – he became flesh and blood too by being born in human form; for only as a human being could he die and in dying break the power of the devil who had the power of death.” – Hebrews 2:14 TLB

CHRIST IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!

Ps.

Would you like to make Jesus your Lord & Saviour?

Please pray this prayer

Dear God, thank You for sending Your only Son into this world to die for my sins.

Today, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord,&I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead.

Therefore I am saved.
(According to Romans10:9).

Welcome to the household of faith honey, the community of saints and the city of love- The kingdom of God.

Bless your darling heart my dear.

Have you met the Celebrant Himself?

Hi my dear,

Hope your night was pleasant? First & foremost dear, I want to apologize for not getting your monday faithpills across to you yesterday…please forgive me, I got a little lazy(not proud of that).

Hmm…it’s some hours to Jesus’ birthday and I couldn’t but think of how I celebrated the 25th of December in previous years.

Not until some years ago, I wasn’t really sure whose birthday it was- Santa’s(Father Christmas, as we often called him) or Jesus’.

Although I was raised in a christian home, I must confess that I knew Santa way back before I ever met Jesus(the celebrant Himself). I wouldn’t be surprised if you did/still do too. *wink*

Christmas was always a time to party & merry, get new clothes, shoes(thanks to dad) and visit the amuzement park. Oh! And we always went to church(that morning) where the pastor tells us about His birth(although I was physically present…in my mind, I was already at home eating the chicken).

This yearly routine went on for years until I finally met the Celebrant Himself; my life has never remained the same ever since.

“For God so love the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16 NIV

I bet this is the most popular verse of the Bible(I wouldn’t be surprised if the devil knows it too).

Beloved this season isn’t just another “Happy holidays”, but the remembrance of the true celebrant(JESUS) who came into this world that we might have LIFE & have it more abundantly.

Though He is the celebrant, He is not asking you to come with a gift…instead He wants you to come as you are(with all your old stuffs) because He has plenty of new GIFTS to give you.

Ps. Not met the Celebrant yet? Why wait till tomorrow…NOW is the BEST TIME to accept Him as your Lord & Savour.

Please pray this prayer
Dear God, thank You for sending Your only Son into this world to die for my sins.

Today, I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord,& I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead.

Therefore I am saved.
(According to Romans10:9).

Merry Christmas honey and welcome to the household of faith, the community of saints and the city of love- The kingdom of God.

Bless your darling heart my dear.

Hidden treasures

Hi dear,

Hope you had a lovely night rest?

I once heard a story of a man who, when he was about to die, called his son and handed him a book. His son couldn’t believe his eyes, was he having a bad dream? “How cruel and selfish could my father be?” he thought …all he could give me out of his stupendous riches is a book”

His father’s death wasn’t as painful to him as this seemingly wicked act. Unknown to him, the book contained all the legal documents that he needed to claim his inheritance; all that his wealthy father had, but he was too sad to even open the book. All he could see was a picture of a cruel father and a son left to suffer in poverty.

Oh if only he knew who he really was?

If only he knew his true possessions?

Although he was the wealthiest of men, he lived in abject poverty simply because he never bothered to open the book his father left him.

We have stayed too long, thinking we are sinners and as a result, we have remained bound though we have been set free. We have been hindered from preaching the gospel, because we thought “what can a sinner (in Christ) like me tell the sinners of the world?

Christ didn’t die on the cross so we could become ‘sinners in Christ’. A thousand times no! Rather, through His finished work, we became the righteousness of God! You are not the sinner you think you are – that’s the truth of God’s word, a revelation you can only comprehend from studying God’s word.

What picture do you have of God? Is He to you a good or cruel father?

My dear, how you see God really affects everything in life & inorder to have the right picture of Him, we have got to study the WORD for ourselves…in it, lies the hidden treasures of wisdom, wealth, power, glory, strength, knowledge & honour.

“So now, brethren, I commend you to  God and to the word of His grace, which is  able to build you up and give you an  inheritance among all those who are  sanctified.” Acts 20:32 NKJV

Thanks for dropping by.

Bless your darling heart.

Monday faithpills: Thank your way into abundance!

Hi dear,
I bet God has been good to you. Thanks for dropping by, be blessed as you read.*wink*

“And Jesus took the loaves, and when He had  given thanks He distributed them to the  disciples, and the disciples to those sitting  down; and likewise of the fish, as much as they  wanted.” John 6:11 NKJV

I could only imagine the look on the little boy’s face…”Was it such a bad thing to have come with the crowd to see Jesus?”

After standing all through his sermon, now he wants to eat my lunch. The worst is, he doesn’t even want to share with me(the real owner)…but wants the whole five loaves of bread & two fishes.

I wished I was Ben 10, I will just change to ghostfeak and fly away with my small lunch. But, wait a minute Jesus is a nice person…maybe he just wants to bless my food afterall.

Okay! Before you start wondering where that’s in your bible…it’s not actually. Smiling

It’s just me trying to paint you a picture of how the little boy with the five loaves & two fishes may have felt. The truth is, the bible didn’t actually record his reaction…all we know is that he gave his little lunch to Jesus& he multiplied it to feed five thousand people(minus the women & children).

You might say, “That’s practically impossible!”  Oh, sure it is…naturally speaking. But with God, there is no such thing as impossibility…and Jesus didn’t have to fast an extra forty days & forty nights to perform that miracle, all he did was gave thanks.

Thanksgiving is actually an expression of ones trust in God; in His goodness & faithfulness. The story of how Jesus feed the five thousand shows us how powerful thanksgiving really is.

You know, instead of giving thanks Jesus could have complained…and questioned God’s faithfulness(like we do sometimes), but he knew than that. Jesus knew that the key to abundance was(& is still) thanksgiving, and as did…divine multiplication took place.

My dear, it’s amazing how we sometimes forget to give thanks even for the seeming little we have but nothing changes by complaining…only thankgiving changes things.

So the next time you are tempted to complain, give thanks instead and you will experience divine multiplication…like Jesus, you can thank your way into abundance!!!

Bless your darling heart.

Kill that anger before it kills you!

Just so you don’t feel like an alien, anger is a natural human emotion. It’s not a sin in itself but can result into one if not properly guarded and that’s exactly what the Bible teaches.

“If you become angry, do not let your anger lead  you into sin, and do not stay angry all day.”
Ephesians 4:26 GNT     Consider Moses in the Old Testament, he had every right to be angry(especially if one is leading a “sturborn” set of people like the Israelites) and God didn’t condemn him for getting angry, but he did lost it when he allowed his angry get the better part of him. Striking the rock twice(out of annoyance) when God instructed him to just speak to it, was total disobedience & that resulted from his uncontrolled anger.

‘Then the children of Israel, the whole congregation, came into the Wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh; and Miriam died there and was buried there. Now there was no water for the  congregation; so they gathered together against Moses and Aaron. And the  people contended with Moses and spoke, saying: “If only we had died when our brethren died before the LORD! Why have you brought up the assembly of the LORD into this wilderness, that we and our animals should die here? And why have you made us come up out of Egypt, to bring us to this evil place? It is not a place of grain or figs or vines or pomegranates; nor is there any water to drink.” So Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the door of the  tabernacle of meeting, and they fell on their faces. And the glory of the LORD appeared to them. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the rod; you and your brother Aaron gather the congregation together. Speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will yield its water; thus you shall bring water for them out of the rock, and give drink to the congregation and their animals.” So Moses took the rod from before the LORD as He commanded him. And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?” Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank. Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to  hallow Me in the eyes of the children of  Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them”      Numbers 20:1-12 NKJV

That singular act of disobedience prevented Moses from entering into the promise land.

I totally remember how life was before I got saved, if anger ever had a resident…it was in my heart. In fact, anger was my second nature & I couldn’t just control my big mouth(cursing all around) when angered. At one time, I refused eating dinner because someone(actually, my aunty) made me angry. The truth was, there were times I was actually tired of being angry but(just like masturbating) I couldn’t help myself so I just kept right at it.

“Therefore if you bring your gift to the  altar, and there remember that your brother has  something against you, leave your gift there  before the altar, and go your way. First be  reconciled to your brother, and then come and  offer your gift.” Matthew 5:23-24 NKJV

Things turned around when I got saved, and I remember doing the “weirdest thing” ever via the help of God’s spirit- apologizing.

Although, my anger issue didn’t automatically go away but it took a shorter time to get over it and be at peace with whoever I was agree with. I also remembered one time when someone made me angry and the Holy Spirit told me to go apologize. I couldn’t believe my ears, I thought to myself…”this is totally unfair, this guy was at fault and going to apologize would make me look weak in his sight”. After much thought, I finally gave in to the Holy Spirit’s instruction and really, that was the coolest thing I ever did. It felt just good obeying and I had this great peace after I did.

Thank God it’s gotten a lot better and easier these days.

Oh, so do I still get angry? Sure, I do sometimes but it’s totally different nowadays because by the help of the Holy Spirit, I am able to curb it before it gets out of hands(leading to sin).

Recently I got a very wonderful way to dissipate my anger- by speaking in tongues. My dear, it works like magic!

So the next you feel that anger in your stomach, try speaking in tongues and it will slowly but surely dissipate. Trust me. *wink*

Monday faithpills: The devil is not really after you…

Hi dear, thanks for dropping by.
Hope you had a lovely weekend and your day wasn’t stressful?

Just before you pop today’s pills down your throat, I did like to apologies for the past weeks of not posting the “monday faithpills”.

It was a cool sunday evening, the first day of the last month when I was just about to retire for the day. I did my usually before-sleep routine of checking my gmail to see if there were any new messages. A quick reload of my inbox and there it was…a mail from Michelle Kulp “The 6-Figure Woman Coach”.

Michelle, who is also a blogger among many other things, had sent me a gift via her message; it was a link to a book written by Wallace D. Wattles in 1910, “The Science of Getting Rich “. She had edited and added some useful materials to the original writings of Mr. Wallace.

At first, just the title made me a bit sceptical. I had seen & partially(because I had to stop in between) read quite a number of such books only to discover they were either impratical or just illusional but I decided to trust Michelle’s judgment(plus it’s not really nice rejecting a gift from a friend). I downloaded the book that evening and soon I was in dreamland.

Monday morning, after the devotion I decided to take a stroll. Just then, I remembered my last night download, still with a pinch of sceptism I relunctantly openned the pdf format of ” The Science of Getting Rich” and began to read.

I was thrilled by Mr. Wallace’s wealth of wisdom&knowledge! He wasn’t just another author trying to make a living off his book, but a man who had fellowship with The Creator of Wealth Himself.

An excerpt from Mr. Wallace’s book that got me thinking-

“Every appearance in the visible world tends to produce a corresponding form in the mind which observes it; and this can only be prevented by holding the thought of the TRUTH. To look upon the appearance of disease will produce the form of disease in your own mind, and ultimately in your body, unless you hold the thought of the truth,’ which is that there is no disease; it is only an appearance, and the reality is health’. To look upon the appearances of poverty will produce corresponding forms in your own mind,’ unless you hold to the truth that there is no poverty; there is only abundance’.  To think health when surrounded by the appearances of disease, or to think”

I bet you are starting to wonder how “The Science of Getting Rich” relates to the title of today’s faithpill…not to worry, this is a smooth ride you are definitely going to enjoy.* wink*

As a young chap(around 10years old), I remembered been in church one fateful sunday. After his message, the pastor told everyone who had one sickness or the other to lay their hands on that part of the body and speak to it.

Fortunately or unfortunately for me, I had this naughty ache in my head so I just did what he said to do and ‘boom’, the headache disappeared! That was my first encounter with the divine healing power of God and ever since then, I have practically been living by divine health.

Oh! Sure, there were times it took like forever to feel the relief, at other times, it was faster than the speed of light. There were also times when I was weak in faith and I had to take medications…it was as though my head was going to explode from terrible headaches but you know what? I have had more victories than failures(which were obviously not His fault but mine). At a time, I and a friend actually coined a word for divine healing(guess), so when either of us was under the weather our prescription was that he took “prayer-mycin”.  That is not a new member of the penicillin group of antibiotics.

Although I have been a beneficiary of divine healing, what Mr. Wallace pointed out in his book.. “which is that there is no disease; it is only an appearance, and the reality is health”, got me on fire. It was an entirely new light and I just couldn’t keep it to myself.

I had fallen ill in time past and gotten healed by His stripes but saying that there is no such thing as sickness/disease, was quite audacious…I just couldn’t take my mind off this reality& before you know, I kept saying it repeatedly until it dawn on my mind…there is no disease; only an appearance. That was still on monday last week.

By Wednesday morning(4th December), I was already sending the link of Mr. Wallace’s book to everyone on my whatsapp contact(you can kindly add me to your list: +2348189360902). I wanted everyone I knew to come into this powerful revelation. I heard, held and spoke the word…a seed was planted in my heart& it was already taking root.

” These  likewise are the ones sown on stony  ground who, when they hear the word,  immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and  so endure only for a time. Afterward, when  tribulation or persecution arises for the  word’s sake, immediately they stumble.” Mark 4:16-17NKJV.

The last time I was ill was sometimes in July, and you know what…we won by the word of God. I was all perfect Wednesday morning but by afternoon, I started feeling this serious pain in my stomach and my head was spinning…

Why was I feeling sick?

Serioiusly, why was this happening just after I got hold of God’s word?

Nothing could be farther from the truth, it was the devil’s handy work and all he was trying to do is steal the seed of God’s word away- He wasn’t so much concerned about inflicting my body than he was about stealing the word that was taking root in my heart.

I could only imagine how much the devil must have wept the day we confessed the Lordship of Jesus, but nothing saddens & frustrates him more than seeing us walk in faith, and inasmuch as we just remain sulkings in Christ(not  knowing our rights & authority in Christ Jesus, nor growing in faith) he is okay & probably wouldn’t attack us that much. But the moment one starts digging deep& exercising his faith(or even go further to be a parrot for Christ like me), he becomes his number one target on  his list of spiritual terrorists.

The pain and ache worsened by evening, and I could hear  the tempter saying into my ears

“Pharmacist! What will it take you to pop a tablet of Hyoscine10mg(Buscopan) & two tablets of paracetamol down your throat…and you would be alright?”

Right there and then,  I did say to that voice,

“Listen, just so you know, I am not taking any pills because there is no such thing as sickness and I am going to bed now, by the time I wake up tomorrow morning I will be perfectly alright.”

I woke the next day very hungry. The headache had disapeared…the stomach pain was now an hunger-induced one! Praise God!

So, is it a sin to take medications? A thousand times no! But this wasn’t really about the medications...it was a matter of faith or unbelief, a war against the Word. The devil wasn’t really after me but the seed of God’s word sown in my heart on Monday.

Nothing puts the devil on the run more than a Christian who choose to walk by faith, and that’s because the only thing that can&will conquer him anytime is the word of God in the heart and mouth of a believer!

“For whatever is  born of God overcomes the world. And this  is the victory that has overcome the  world—our faith.” 1 John 5:4 NKJV

The word of God is the seed of faith, and that faith is what guarentees us victory over the world…that’s what the devil is really after.

Hold on to the Word my dear, faith always works!!! I am a living testimony.

I bet you have been blessed my this mpnday’s faithpill, please be a blessing to someone else…kindly leave your comments, don’t forget to like the post and go spread the Word- FAITH ALWAYS WORKS!

You are deeply loved, highly valued & always accepted by God.

Bless your darling heart.
